(Owatonna, MN) Recently Door & Window Manufacturer (DWM) Magazine unveiled its “Top 10 Companies to Watch for 2007” and included in this list was Truth Hardware. In just its fourth year of recognizing companies, DWM has chosen to spotlight companies who they believe are not only making news, but are worth watching during the coming year.

2007 represented the first year that DWM chose to include suppliers among the companies that they would recognize. Prior to, and including this year, DWM’s list of honorees included such names as Andersen, Marvin, and Hurd Windows & Doors. Truth was one of only two suppliers to be selected for this distinction and was chosen for what DWM noted was their ability to reinvent themselves.

With a campaign centering around the basic philosophy of being “better from every perspective”, Truth rolled out a new look in 2006 which went deeper than simply the logo change and ad campaign they unveiled. “Truth came to realize that, as the market leader, we were being viewed as being complacent in the eyes of our customers”, remarked Matt Kottke, Marketing Support Manager. The company pledged a more strategic focus toward the customer with an emphasis on new products and a ‘Choose to Care’ commitment that reached every level of their business. “By working more collaboratively with our customers we began to show them how responsive and flexible we can be in meeting their requirements” says Kottke. The result of which was that Truth began gaining even more market share despite a downward turn in the residential construction market.

Truth Hardware is the North American leader in the design and manufacture of operating systems for windows, patio doors and skylights. With operations in Ontario and Pennsylvania and two facilities in Owatonna, Truth Hardware employs approximately 800 people and sells its products directly to the manufacturers of windows and doors throughout the world.
