Recycling and Waste Reduction Efforts at Truth Hardware

By using our resources wisely, Truth Hardware continues to make inroads into improving the environment that we all must share. Some examples of the recycling efforts currently underway at Truth Hardware are:

• Truth Hardware uses 100% recycled materials for our standard corrugated (boxes, liners, etc.)
• Truth Hardware purchases virgin material for our powder paint process and over 50% of the powder is reclaimed and re-used
• Truth Hardware purchases virgin zinc from mines and approximately 60% goes to the product and the balance goes into runners and over flows which is reclaimed and re-melted with nearly 100% re-use
• Truth Hardware recycles all of our process scrap (turnings, shavings, trimmings, etc.) of steel, SST, brass, aluminum
• Truth Hardware has a closed loop system (use/filter/re-use) for our cutting fluids
• Truth Hardware recently upgrade all our lighting in the factories to energy efficient lighting fixtures
• Truth Hardware has taken significant steps to go paperless where possible throughout our administrative functions
• Truth Hardware recycles 100% of our office paper
• Truth Hardware also offers on-site recycling containers in our lunchrooms for plastic and aluminum
